Covid-19 Policies and Precautions

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS IN PLACE:  Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, IOBT began implementing precautions to keep clients and staff safe. These include:

  • Enhanced cleaning using CDC-approved products. IOBT performs enhanced cleaning between every client. We clean equipment and accessories, bathrooms, treatment room, and reception area with CDC-approved products. We are also performing additional deep cleanings.
  • Health screenings of clients before they come to the studio. Every person is screened for symptoms before entering the studio. These screenings may take place at the time of scheduling, on the COVID screening form emailed prior to your session, and when you arrive at your appointment. In-studio health screenings require all clients and staff to answer questions about potential symptoms and take temperature checks. Cancellations due to illness will be rescheduled without penalty. Please let us know as soon as possible if you are sick and not able to attend
  • Requiring everyone to wear masks at all times. Our universal masking policy is mandatory for both staff and clients. This can include a disposable surgical mask, two layered cloth mask or N95 (without the filter). Masks are also available for purchase.
  • Arranging the studio to support physical distancing. Many updates have been done to the new space and stations have been set up to provide more than 6 feet between equipment areas. In addition, scheduling is currently limited to one to two staff members and appointments are spaced out. There is a high chance that you will be working alone with your instructor.
  • Other studio improvements also include: 3 high-powered HEPA filters, a separate hand washing area, hands-free toilet and dispensers, vinyl covered handles for easy sanitation, and updates to the reception/front desk area.

Please note: Scientific evidence indicates that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. By coming to the studio for in-studio sessions, you and any guests including minors in your care voluntarily accept all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and agree not to hold InsideOut Body Therapies, LLC or any of their instructors, officers, employees, trainees, or volunteers liable for any injury or illness.

IN-STUDIO SESSION REQUIREMENTS:

We are taking every safety precaution to help you feel comfortable getting the attention you need. Thank you for understanding and doing your part to keep staff and clients safe. We are currently asking clients to do the following for their in-studio sessions:

  • ARRIVAL TIME. To allow time for previous clients to exit the studio and for studio cleaning, please do not come into the studio until your appointment time. At this time, no visitors are allowed to wait in the reception area. Exceptions may be made only under special circumstances. Visitors are required to also complete a screening, wear a mask and wash hands.
  • COVID SCREENING. Clients will be asked to complete a COVID screening before the session starts. This includes answering a questionnaire and taking a temperature reading with an infrared thermometer.
  • WEAR A MASK DURING THE SESSION. Our universal masking policy is mandatory for both staff and clients. This can include a disposable surgical mask, two layered cloth mask or N95 (without the filter). Masks are also available for purchase if a client forgets or needs a mask.
  • WASH HANDS BEFORE SESSION. Please follow the suggested 20-second rule. Singing Happy Birthday is welcomed 🙂
  • BRING HAND TOWELS. Please bring 2 hand towels to the session along with any cushions or pads currently used for neck or back support.
  • Other suggested items to bring to session:
    • Workout gloves
    • Personal hand sanitizer
    • Slip-free socks
    • Towel to use on equipment
    • Personal yoga block
  • PAYMENT. Because reception hours are not currently available, clients will be asked to secure a credit card on file when scheduling. Payment will be applied to the credit card on file and a receipt will be emailed.
  • DAY BEFORE APPOINTMENT An Appointment Reminder is emailed 24 hours prior to your appointment. A link for our COVID screening intake form will be included and highlighted in the reminder email. Please complete this form online before your session.

General Studio Policies

  • Mindbody Online Scheduling System – IOBT uses Mindbody Online. Appointment reminders, class package updates and general account notifications are sent either to a clients email or mobile phone. Be sure to update your Profile or alert the studio to contact preference so receive reminders.
  • Sick Policy – Please do not come to the studio when you are sick and put the health of your practitioner and/or fellow classmates at risk. The studio services many immunosuppressed clients who have a difficult time fighting infection. Give your body a rest and call or email to reschedule your class or appointment.
  • Class Participation – Please arrive to classes on time. Students will be asked to reschedule for any late arrival that is more than 15 minutes.
  • Studio Closings – If the Durham Public Schools close or delay due to inclement weather, be on alert that InsideOut MAY also close or delay. Updates will be posted on the studio’s voicemail and through Facebook.
  • Medical Hold Request Forms – If you have a medical condition and would like to request a medical hold on your package, please complete and submit the Medical Hold Request Form (.PDF)
  • Expiration Date – All packages and services have a 6 month expiration date. Packages may not be shared. They are for one person only.
  • 30 day Return policy – Clients can request a refund on unused packages or services within 30 days of purchase minus a 5% transaction fee.

Packages and Late Cancellations

  • 24-hour Cancellation Policy for in-studio services – Please give us at least one day’s notice if you need to cancel your in-studio appointment or class. We understand that life happens, and that emergencies and illness are unavoidable. Late cancel and No-Show fees vary depending on the service scheduled. Contact the studio for additional details. **Please note: There is a 2-hour Cancellation Policy for virtual services. 
  • Late Cancel or No-Show Fees – IOBT has a 24 late cancel policy for all in-studio service and a 2 hour late cancel policy for all virtual classes and sessions. Fees will vary depending on the service(s) scheduled. Late Cancel Fees for classes and Private Instruction are charged at the rate of your package or at the drop-in rate if clients do not have a package. Contact the studio for additional details.
  • Expiration Date – All packages and services have a 6 month expiration date. Packages may not be shared. They are for one person only.

  • Reminder texts or emails – Mindbody Online sends appointment reminders 2 days prior to scheduled appointments. Please be sure to provide the studio with your current contact information.

Referrals and Rewards

  • Referral Dollars – Refer a friend and receive IOBT dollars. Be sure to tell your friend to include your name on their intake form so that Mindbody Online (MBO) can credit your MBO account 10 IOBT dollars to be used toward your next service. IOBT dollars cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • Rewards Program – Earn points for every service. Enroll in the program under your Mindbody online profile page.
