Lora Guerra PT, MPT, NCPT (she/her)
Pilates-based Physical Therapist
Biography:
Lora Guerra, PT, MPT, NCPT received her Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and had previously attended Wake Forest University, studying biology with a minor in Spanish. She is a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher who graduated from The Pilates Center’s Intermediate Teacher Training Program at InsideOut Body Therapies in early 2021.
Lora has always loved movement and being active, so becoming a physical therapist seemed like a natural career move. She has spent most of her career working with children. After being introduced to Pilates a few years ago, she loved how it made her body feel and felt it would be the perfect compliment to her physical therapy background.
As a teacher, Lora strives to make each session with her clients a positive movement experience, whether it is to reduce pain and stiffness, help clients recover from an injury, or to provide strengthening and increased flexibility. She wants her clients to leave each session feeling more confident, standing a little taller, and being more ready to go out into the world after doing something good for themselves.
Lora, along with her husband and 2 teenage daughters, loves adventure and traveling. As a family, they have spent time living in both Puerto Rico and Switzerland – Switzerland was where she was first introduced to Pilates. When not doing Pilates, Lora loves to play tennis and snow-ski and is often seen walking her dog, Millie.
