Deborah Jarboe Matthews

Deborah is a PMA Certified Pilates Instructor. She trained at The Pilates Center in Boulder, CO whose owners, Amy Alpers and Rachel Segel, studied with Pilates elder Romana Kryzanowska. While in Boulder, she managed and taught GYROTONIC® at White Cloud Boulder. She was Senior Teacher for Cara Reeser at Pilates Aligned, Inc. in Denver and recently helped open Enriched Body in Raleigh. Deborah's approach to Pilates is classical, and yet highly innovative with a deep understanding of the damaged body in need of rehabilitation and the everyday body in need of strength and flexibility. In addition to continually training with living masters of the Pilates tradition, she is a student of Hubert Godard, Dean of Dance and Movement Analysis at the University of Paris and Rolf Movement Instructor at The Rolf Institute®. Deborah studied with GYROTONIC® Master Trainers Sebastian Plettenberg and Skye Shansby. She is a member of the Pilates Method Alliance®. |
