Advanced exercises: Making the Impossible Possible (and Fun!)
How many clients see Advanced Exercises like Twist and Squirrel and say either, "I'll never be able to do that" or just the opposite, "I WANT to do that! How can I get there??!". As instructors, we want to hold the possibility and encourage our clients to be open to these advanced movements. The challenge is to create a program that will safely layer the skills needed to progress our students. In this workshop, we will break down some of the more technically advanced exercises and discover that the same skills needed to perform at an Advanced Level are present in Fundamental and Beginning material. You will learn how to break down advanced movement to the working level of your client and safely and effectively layer in Advanced material.

The Female Pelvis (Pilates and Women's Health)
As Pilates Instructors, we cue and speak to both the positioning and musculature of the pelvis in most exercises. More and more, Pilates is being prescribed for strengthening these core muscle groups. The pelvic floor in women can become weakened from childbirth, surgery, and aging. In this workshop, we will explore common issues that affect the health and function of the female pelvic floor and you will gain a greater understanding and compassion for your clients with these difficult conditions. Taking care to communicate the sensitivity and emotional component of these diagnoses, we will explore how Pilates can be an effective resource to build strength, function and confidence.
