GYROTONIC®

About GYROTONIC®

GYROTONIC is an innovative form of exercise that increases strength, flexibility, and stamina using an elegant blend of movements from swimming, yoga, tai chi, and dance. Juliu Horvath developed the GYROTONIC approach through many years of study and success in repairing the bodily injuries that he sustained as a professional dancer and yogi. His ground-breaking system centers on exercises performed on a sculptural machine (The Tower) that allows the joints of the body to move with support and resistance through their full range of motion. Though the goals of GYROTONIC are similar to those of Pilates, the exercises are more circular, twisting, and full of spirals.
